Dear friends
Tatamagouche Centre is delighted to share
information with you about the upcoming annual meeting of an important
force for faith and justice, that is active in the Maritimes, in Canada,
and in the wider world.
The Kairos Atlantic Annual Regional
Meeting will be held at Tatamagouche Centre, Friday September
28 to Sunday September 30. Kairos is also known as the Canadian
Ecumenical Justice Initiatives, and brings Christian churches together,
to address social, economic and environmental justice issues.
All are welcome to this annual gathering.
This year, Sara Stratton (Kairos national
staff) will introduce the new 2007/2008 nation-wide campaign on Energy.
As well, there will be mini-workshops on topics such as Anti-Poverty
(with Michael Polanyi, Kairos national staff), and Energy Justice (with
speakers from key regional organizations). There will also be ample time
to network with other faith-based activists, have fun and celebrate
together, as well as to participate in the Annual General Meeting on
Sunday.
This program costs only $65 (including
meals, accommodations), with a price reduction for those who come for
any part of the weekend. Travel subsidies are "available and generous".
